How Much Does it Cost to Bet on US Power?
US POWER bets start at $5.00 whilst the jackpot is below $500m.
From time to time Lottoland may offer Special Jackpots which means greater jackpots at a premium price.
How are my winning numbers selected on US POWER?
Firstly, here are three important definitions:
Result ID: A 10 digit number formed from taking the first 2 decimals of selected Financial Indices (example below).
Mapping: The process of matching the Result ID to the appropriate set Winning Numbers.
Winning Numbers: The numbers you’re required to match in order to win.
How Are the Results Generated?
Lottoland determine our results by taking the first 2 decimal places of certain indices to create a 10-digit number, a ‘Result ID’. See the working example below for which Financial Markets are used.
This Result ID has been pre-assigned to a set of numbers on which customers can bet on.
The first Result ID (0000000000) receives a set of numbers, the next Result ID (0000000001) receives the next set of numbers.
For example, in the US POWER Jackpot;
Result ID 0000000000 is assigned the winning numbers 1,2,3,4,5 and Super Number 1
Result ID 0000000001 is assigned the winning numbers 1,2,3,4,5 and Super Number 2
This continues until all the possible Result IDs have been filled out.
Working Example
1. In the US POWER bet slip you will be asked to select 5 numbers between 1 – 69 and Super Number between 1-26 Example: 17, 26, 31, 33, 44 + Super Number 23
2. Each Tuesday and Thursday at 9.30am ET a Result ID is derived from the opening values of the following Financial Market indices
Values Sourced: Bloomberg.com & NYSE.com
3. The winning Result ID in this example is: 4372619286
4. The Result ID is then mapped to an appropriate Winning Number, in this instance the winning combination is: 33, 41, 44, 46, 59 + Super Number ‘23’
So in this example the winning numbers are: 33, 41, 44, 46, 59 + Super Number ‘23’
Versus the bet of: 17, 26, 31, 33, 44 + Super Number ‘23’
Total payout: $9 (Division 7)

How Can I Check the Result ID Before I bet?
For transparency, if someone would like to know what set of numbers a certain Result ID is assigned to they can:
1. Go to the selected Jackpot
2. Click on the Results tab
3. Click on "See details on how the results are generated"
4. Enter any 10-digit Result ID. The mapping tool will then display the set of numbers this Result ID is assigned to.
Do I have to share the Jackpot?
Don't want to share the jackpot with other winners? Our special NumberShield feature allows you to protect your numbers in the event of a jackpot win. If you activate this feature you will win the entire jackpot in division 1, even if other players chose the same numbers.
NumberShield can be chosen for a particular bet and will occur an additional cost.

What Do I Do if I Win?
First you must ensure you have first verified your identity before any withdrawals can be made due to Australian Federal Government Anti-Money Laundering legislation. Refer to our help section to find more information about how to verify your identity.
What Happens To My Bet if the Financial Markets Don't Open?
In the event a bet fails to settle at the published time due to force majeure or planned public holidays the pending bet will settle when the market reopens on the next applicable business day.
Although rare, if a product with two events in the same week ( Mon & Wed, US Power, US Millions) are both impacted by delays to settlement, precedence is given to the first betting event. This occurs because Lottoland will not settle two different events using the same winning numbers.
Example Mon & Wed Jackpot: If the New York Stock Exchange fails to trade on both Monday and Tuesday for any reason, bets placed for Monday Jackpot will settle when the New York Stock Exchange reopened on Wednesday, whilst bets placed for Wednesday Jackpot are resulted on Thursday.
What Happens To My Bet if the Financial Market Values Matches the Previous Day?
Other than Daily Millions, in the event that any of the Financial Market opening values matches the closing value of the previous applicable day, the next applicable day will be used (example: at least one of Thursday’s opening values equals Wednesday’s closing value. In this case Friday’s opening values will be used provided they are different to Wednesday’s closing value. However, if Friday’s opening values are equal to Wednesday’s closing value then we will turn to the next day until we have an opening value that is different to Wednesday’s closing value).
Are My Winnings Tax Free?
You will not be taxed on any winnings in Australia.
What Is a Subscription?
Subscriptions remove the hassle of manually entering bets on each event and the fear of missing out on a big win. Our Subscription feature allows you to set up a running bet or bets on a given jackpot. The subscription is open ended and will run for as long as you want it to. You can opt out at any time.
