How You Could Win Mega-Millions with MegaMillions!
What You Could Buy if You Win the $500m* Special Jackpot

Due to legislation coming into effect in 2019, we can no longer offer lottery betting and as such some content may no longer be relevant.
What Is a Special Jackpot?
Since Lottoland launched in Australia in 2016, for the first time Australians have been able to bet on international lotteries with jackpots that often dwarf our equivalent local lottery jackpots. Why play for a million when you can bet for a billion, right?
In addition to offering Aussies the opportunity to bet on the massive jackpots, Lottoland also does special promotions from time to time where you can bet for considerably more than the official lottery’s jackpot.
How is this possible? Because with Lottoland, rather than buying a ticket in an official draw, you are actually instead betting on the outcome of a particular lottery. Lottoland is licensed by the Northern Territory government to offer a range of local and international lotteries for you to bet on. It’s just like buying a ticket in the official draw, and you are paid the equivalent prize to what you would have received if you had a ticket in the official draw. The exception to that is when Lottoland has exclusive Special Jackpots that are two, three or perhaps ten times the official amount!
And that brings us to the upcoming super-sized Special Jackpot. Lottoland is offering a massive $500 million* Special Jackpot for the US MegaMillions draw, to be held at 1pm AEST on Friday 31 May 2017. We’re guessing that if you win it, you probably won’t see out the rest of the day at work!
How to Win MegaMillions
MegaMillions is a US lottery that has made many Americans mega-rich. Five numbers are drawn between a range of 1-75, and that’s followed by a MegaBall from a range of 1-15. To win the MegaMillions jackpot, you need to match the first 5 numbers and the MegaBall in a single bet.
A total of 9 divisions of prizes are paid out in MegaMillions. The lottery also features a unique MegaPlier feature, which when selected, can times the winnings of division 2 prizes and below by multiples of 2, 3, 4 or 5. MegaPlier costs just an extra $1.50 per bet.
MegaMillions Betting Syndicates are a great way to increase your chances of hitting the big time. By anonymously pooling your money with other Lottoland players and forming a Syndicate, you become part of more bets and the draw and therefore an increased chance of winning. Simply choose your Syndicate and how many shares you want to buy, and Lottoland will take care of the rest!
What You Could Buy if You Land Lottoland’s $500m* MegaMillions Special Jackpot
Have you ever stopped to think what you would spend your money on if you won a super-sized lottery jackpot? Most of us know we’d probably quit our jobs and go on a holiday, but what would you do with, say, few hundred million? Here are some ideas.
1. Buy Australia’s Most Expensive House
Earlier this month, Atlassian co-founder Scott Farquhar purchased Australia’s most expensive house, but you’ll have plenty of ammunition to buy it back off him. The $75 million dollar mansion in Sydney’s harbourside suburb of Point Piper boasts three levels, seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, horse stables and direct beach access. While there’s no heli-pad, you could probably land your helicopter on the tennis court. At only $75 million, you’ll certainly have plenty of change to buy a helicopter and throw a lavish house warming party!
If you’d prefer to buy an island, you’ll most likely be able to afford a few of them. Considering Daydream Island off the coast of Queensland sold for just $30 million a couple of years ago, you have enough change to buy another 10!
2. Buy Your Own TV Station
Ever wanted to own your own television station? One of Australia’s big three networks, Channel Ten, is currently worth about $160 million based on the current value of its shares. You could become an Australian hero, and put The Simpsons back on prime time!
3. Fly You and Three Mates to the Moon!
It would be the ultimate way to live large and spend most of your $500m* MegaMillions Special Jackpot win in one hit. You, along with three of your mates, circumnavigating the moon and becoming some of the first space tourists in the world.
While the exact cost of a round-trip from earth to the moon with Elon Musk’s company SpaceX are by request only, it’s estimated to be around USD $75 million (approx. $100 million) per seat. You may not have much left over, but you will have ultimate bragging rights when you return and will be owed a lifetime of favours by your mates!
4. Buy Your Own Plane
If 40,000 feet is about as high as you want to fly, maybe your own private jumbo jet is a better option.
The current list price for the biggest jumbo in the sky, the Airbus A380, is currently USD $430 million (approx. $580 million). Unfortunately, that’s probably going to be out of your budget, so if you really want an A380 you might have to pick one up second hand on eBay.
The good news is that you should be able to afford one of Boeing’s newest birds of the sky, the 787 Dreamliner. At USD $250 million (approx. $335 million) you might even have some change left over to configure the plane to your liking, and install a movie theatre, gymnasium and a Jacuzzi.
So there are some ideas of what you could buy if you win Lottoland’s life-changing $500m* MegaMillions Special Jackpot. What would you buy if you joined the life of the super rich?
Whatever you decide to splurge on, don’t forget to give yourself the chance in the first place and buy your bet in the draw. Betting closes at 12pm AEST on May 31st 2017, one hour before the official draw at 1pm AEST. Don’t miss out and get your $500m* MegaMillions Special Jackpot bets on today!
