Tuesday Lotto Near Miss!
Aussie One Number from Winning $100 Million

Due to legislation coming into effect in 2019, we can no longer offer lottery betting and as such some content may no longer be relevant.
Lottoland’s $100 Million Special Jackpot
Our Lottoland punter was one of thousands that took part in Lottoland’s special $100 million jackpot, which saw the regular Tuesday Lotto jackpot boosted from $5 million to a monstrous $100 million.
When you bet with Lottoland you are placing a bet on the outcome of the lottery, and for this reason we are able to provide you with features that other lotteries can’t, such as special jackpots. For more information about how we can offer these, check our blog article about Special Jackpots.
Punters flocked to get involved in the draw, which was the third highest in Australian history, but no punter got closer than Timothy from Victoria who was only one number away…
So Close, but So Far…
Timothy from Victoria, spent a total of $10 for his Oz Lotto bets, which netted him almost $6,000 in return. Not a bad day’s work if you ask me!
However, he was only one number away from winning a whopping $100 million!
- Here are his lucky numbers: 6, 14, 15, 29, 31, 32, 37
- Here are the drawn numbers: 6, 14, 15, 29, 31, 42, 37
What’s even more amazing, is that he actually had the other number… in another bet!
Oh, what could have been! How would you feel if this was you?
The Unlucky 42 Conspiracy
What’s even more uncanny is that the number Timothy missed was ‘42’. A few months ago another Lottoland player missed out on $334 million on the US Power by one number – ‘42’.
According to Google and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, ‘The answer to life, the universe and everything’ is ‘42’.
For these two players, ‘42’ was the answer, and the question was “What number am I missing?”
They won’t be leaving ‘42’ out of their lotto numbers again!
Not the Only One…
These two winners aren’t the only Lottoland players to miss out on a major jackpot by one number.
Lottoland has also had;
- 56-year-old Melbournian missed out on $200 million playing MegaMillions, only missing the Mega Ball. She still won $1.3 million
- 36-year-old Aussie missed out by one number on sharing $700 million last month on the record US Power draw
- 52-year-old Aussie made his first ever Lottoland bet and missed out on $330 million by one number, also in the US Power
Had these players matched just one more number, they would’ve won an unthinkable amount of money!
Somehow, we think they’re not all that mad though, each getting a substantial payout for their troubles…
